I'm not the greatest traveller. I dislike airports, check-ins, security checks (though I'm grateful for them!) and uncomfortable seats on long haul flights when you're desperately tired but can't find any comfort for sleep! I've had enough bad airport experiences to put me off flying ever again, but I have had also had the privilege of visiting some fantastic places, many of them on trips with a charitable purpose in the interests oif the poor rather than on holiday. It began for me in 1976 with an 8 month stint working with TEAR Fund with support from World Vision in Eritrea, a place that remains dear to my heart and whose people are suffering so terribly. Subsequent trips have been to Romania (1991), Ukraine (1999), China (2002, 2011), Uganda (2003, 2008), India (2006, 2009. 2013).
I've also had some great holidays abroad. I'm hoping to gradually add some photo albums and videos to this website to illustrate some of our international trips, starting with photo albums on posted on Facebook..
